Golden
Description.
Golden sits on the western slope of the Rockies in British Columbia, where the Columbia and Kicking Horse rivers meet — about an hour past Lake Louise over the Kicking Horse Pass. It's whitewater country, home to Kicking Horse resort and the Golden Skybridge, and a gateway to Yoho National Park's Takakkaw Falls and Emerald Lake along the way. The drive from Lake Louise is one of the most scenic stretches in the entire range. Golden makes a great extension to a Banff and Lake Louise trip for travellers chasing waterfalls, canyons and big mountain views. Talk to our local team about timing the drive and the stops worth making along the Trans-Canada Highway.
